If anyone was going to break calm-and-collected Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi, it was going to be All-Canadian button pusher Ezra Levant.
The popular mayor and the Sun TV host got into a heated Twitter argument Sunday over the city of Calgary’s link to a think tank. The exchange included Nenshi asking Levant: “When did you stop beating your wife?”
The mudslinging began Sunday morning after Levant asked Nenshi about the city’s contracts with the Pembina Institute, an environmental think tank and consulting firm.
The city paid Pembina about $340,000 to consult on a greenhouse gas reduction program. The Canadian Taxpayers’ Federation argues it was improper for the city to hire an advocacy group as independent experts. Levant referred to…
