Mental illness of Muslim terrorists could soon be ‘cured’ by science, neurologist claims

Islamic radicals and parents who hit their children could soon be ‘cured’ by science, leading neurologist claims

  • Say techniques could also be used to stop parents hitting children

A leading academic has claimed that religious fundamentalism could soon be treated in the same way as mental illness.

Kathleen Taylor, a science author and research scientist at the University of Oxford, told the Hay Literary Festival techniques were already under development to help curb radicalised beliefs.

She also claimed behaviours such as hitting children could be treated with similar techniques.

‘One man’s positive can be another man’s negative,’ she told the festival, according to The Times.

‘One of the surprises may be to see people with certain beliefs as people who can be treated.

‘Somebody who has for example become radicalised to a cult ideology – we might stop seeing that as a personal choice that they have chosen as a result of pure free will and may start treating it as some kind of mental disturbance.’

The author claimed that society could begin see those who have joined a cult or become engulfed by extreme views as suffering mental illnessThe author claimed that society could begin see those who have joined a cult or become engulfed by extreme views as suffering mental illness

‘In many ways that could be a very positive thing because there are no doubt beliefs in our society that do a heck of a lot of damage, that really do a lot of harm.

The controversial claim could also help treat problems such as child abuse, she said.

‘I am not just talking about the obvious candidates like radical Islam or some of the more extreme cults.

‘I am talking about things like the belief that it is OK to beat your children.

‘These beliefs are very harmful but are not normally categorised as mental illness.’

Miss Taylor has written series of books on the future of neurology, and says advances such as dream reading, mind control and others could soon create major privacy issues.

Al-Qaeda Magazine: ‘The Boston Bombings Have Uncovered… The Power Of A Lone Jihad Operation’

MEMRI, May 30, 2013
Special Dispatch No.5323

Articles In Inspire 11 Emphasize Effectiveness Of Lone-Wolf Operations; ‘The Boston Bombings Have Uncovered The Capabilities Of The Muslim Youth, They Have Revealed The Power Of A Lone Jihad Operation’

On May 30, 2013, Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) released issue 11 of its English-language magazine Inspire. The special edition, which was dedicated to the Boston marathon bombing, included several articles that brought forward the effectiveness of lone-wolf attacks, as well as the extreme difficulty in stopping such attacks. Providing the Boston bombing as an example of such attack, one article wrote that the attack had uncovered “the capabilities of the Muslim youth.” It also urged American Muslims to execute similar attacks in order to lead the American public to pressure the U.S. government to stop its targeting of Muslims everywhere.

Following is a summary of the articles:

In one article, written by “Jonas The Rebel” and titled “Dear American Muslim,” the author says that in observing the Boston marathon bombing and its after math, one can’t escape the uproar in American society and media over the fact that the Tsarnaev brothers were Muslims. The author says such uproar shows that Americans will always look and treat American Muslim youth differently regardless of their appearance and education, but only based on their religion.

The U.S., says “Jonas The Rebel,” has demonstrated how far it was willing to bend its own rules when it targeted two of its own Muslims citizens – radical cleric Anwar Al-‘Awlaki and his son Abd Al-Rahman Al-‘Awlaki, who were killed in drone strikes in Yemen. Therefore, the author calls upon American Muslims to be proud on their religion, while trusting the message they carry, and the noble goal of calling others to Islam that they strive to achieve.

As for Boston bombing and the prospective of lone-wolf attacks inside U.S., “Jonas The Rebel” urges American Muslims to “take things into your hands,” since the “work is easy and simple… [and] at the same time it is very effective.” He also urges American Muslims not to belittle themselves and their abilities, since the Boston bombings “have uncovered the capabilities of the Muslim youth, [and]… revealed the power of Long Jihad operations.” “Jonas The Rebel” says that the U.S. is “very weak” and is incapable of protecting itself from such attacks, and that similar future attacks against it “will force the enemy to place his knees on a rough ground.”

“Jonas The Rebel” explains that the reaction to the Boston bombing, as seen in the focus on the perpetrators’ religion and its connection to the attack, shows how isolated the American society is from global current affairs. He also says that the American society has contempt for the “millions of Muslims being killed around the world;” therefore, it is “upon the Muslim youth residing in the West to awake the American people from their long slumber” and “serve them drinks in the same cup we [Muslims] drink from, the cup of wars and battles, explosions and assassinations, deaths and injuries.”

In another article, which is written by “Tamerlan 2” and titled “Mujahid’s Wish,” the author, who says he is a mujahid in Yemen, expresses his wish of being able to live in the U.S. in order to execute lone-wolf-style attacks there. The writer says that his wishes are in fact shared by many of the mujahideen arriving to jihad fronts from the West, and who also wish they could return home to their “mom’s kitchen” – a reference to AQAP advice from Inspire I regarding home manufacture of explosives in one’s own kitchen, in order to “terrorize the American society until they [i.e. Americans] cease to fight and assault Muslims.”

A third article titled “Who & Why,” which was written by “Abu Abdillah Almoravid,” says that the Boston bombing message has reached all, and that such a message is a response to the long list of American crimes against Muslims in the past several decades. Almoravid says that “it is time for the families and relatives of the [Boston] bombings to taste the bitterness and torment of death when it [i.e. the U.S.] rains Tomahawk and Hellfire missiles in a village in the rural [areas] of Iraq, mountains of Afghanistan or the deserts of Yemen.”

Commenting on the extreme difficulty to stop lone-wolf attacks, Almoravid mockingly says that indeed, the only solution to stop such attacks is for the U.S. to announce that the materials used in those attacks, such as “basic cooking ingredients and building material” are illegal. Almoravid continues: “Yes, this is the only solution. A Lone Jihad operation like that of Boston Marathon requires nothing more than a few utensils, some matchsticks, a box of nails and a clock for timing. Another ingredient which I should mention is a group of American citizens gathered in a ceremony, sports event or just surprising time and place.”

Australian convert is fired up that some Muslims call the 9/11 haram (forbidden). He concludes there is no doubt Pentagon is a legitimate target for terrorism. You pay blood money for terrorist deeds and get on with it. (No big deal) the blood of the Muslims is more dear…

Al-Qaeda Magazine: Praises And Takes Credit For Motivating Boston Bombing And Other Recent Attacks

MEMRI  |  May 30, 2013

Al-Qaeda In the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) Releases 11th Issue Of Inspire Magazine: Praises And Takes Credit For Motivating Boston Bombing And Other Recent Attacks, While Promising More; In A First, Is Released Via Twitter Rather Than Jihadi Forum

On May 30, 2013, jihad supporters on Twitter disseminated the eleventh issue of Inspire, the English-language jihadi magazine produced by Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP). In the issue, which includes threats to the American people by the group’s military commander Qassem Al-Rimi, AQAP makes an effort to capitalize on the Boston and London attacks to incite further attacks.

For the first time, the link to this latest issue – unlike the previous ones, which were published on Al-Qaeda affiliated jihadi forums – was released via Twitter. The first downloadable link was posted on a Twitter account belonging to “Muhammad Al-Shammary,” who said he had received an email with English and Arabic copies of the magazine. Al-Shammary, who uses the handle @muhammad115599 and about whom very little is known, then posted the password needed to unlock the link. Prior to Al-Shammary’s tweets, Yemeni journalist ‘Abd Al-Razzaq Al-Jamal, who is associated with the group, had posted links to the two copies; however, they did not in fact contain the magazine. Al-Jamal was the first to break the news about the magazine’s release, when he posted excerpts and pictures from the latest issue onto his Facebook page. He attributed his failed attempts to release the entire magazine to power outages in Yemen, where he lives.

The relatively small size of the issue as compared to previous ones, and the sloppy translation and editing, indicate that AQAP has not found an adequate replacement for magazine founders Anwar Al-Awlaki, the American-born cleric, and Samir Khan, another American.

Most of the articles in this issue focus on the Boston Marathon bombing. Inspire‘s publishers clearly believe that they deserve credit for providing the perpetrators with the motivation and operational know-how for the attack. More importantly, AQAP uses the current issue to incite Muslims in the West to carry out similar attacks, by emulating the Tsarnaev brothers and the Woolwich attackers. Thus, one prominent feature in the issue is a message from AQAP’s military commander, Qassem Al-Rimi, who warns the American people that such attacks will continue, and that their government is unable to stop them.

MEMRI will be sending out a full review and analysis of the 11th issue of Inspire magazine. The following are the first reports that MEMRI is releasing on Inspire’s 11th issue:

(Video) Myanmar Buddhist Monk: Saudi Arabia is responsible for Muslim jihad against Rakhine Buddhists

Remember the rules of the game: while Muslims slaughter, attack, invade and force their ugly fascist ideology on innocent people – they are always the victims. Be it in Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, India, Bangladesh, Israel, Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Lebanon, Israel, Chechnya, Kosovo, etc. etc. the scenario is always the same. There never exist any responsibility or consciousness for personal conduct within the Muslim community. Islam is an ideology based on hatred for ‘the other’. And who is ‘the other’? It’s the kafir, the non-Muslim. There exist no moral code, no ethical code, no personal responsibility except to violate themselves on ‘the other’, the enemy, which is always the non-Muslims.

In this video posted by a mmediatube, describing these poor Buddhist monks as “racist extremist terrorist monk” who are relentlessly subject to another Islamic social engineering project identical to the early formation of present day Palestine, which was also created through illegal mass immigration and jihad.
How are the Buddhist extremist? Did they invade Muslim land or did Muslims force themselves, like always, on Myanmar? Who exactly is forcing themselves on the region and refusing to leave, refusing to leave them in peace?

According to Myanmar Buddhist monk Wira Thu (Masoyein monastery, Mandalay, Myanmar) Saudi Arabia is supporting extremists in Bengal to conduct jihad in Myanmar, lead by a Waqad Uddin. This jihad is flooding Myanmar with more and more illegal Muslims to occupy the country. Recently Qatar spent billions to send 3,000 terrorists from Tunisia to Myanmar to Islamise the country. As if this is not enough, The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is planning to send a “fact-finding mission” to Myanmar to probe the “persecution of Rohingya Muslims” in Rakhine State, and to pressure new international sanctions on Myanmar so the country cannot defend itself. Myanmar has offered to relocate the Muslims to a Muslim country. Instead of providing refuge to these illegal Muslims to leave Myanmar, Myanmar is being pressured to bend to Islam.

Unfortunately the Muslims who posted the video, has cut it a lot instead of leaving it in its full form (that may not serve their agenda, so of course they have to edit it heavily).

.

The Muslims in Myanmar are mainly illegals from Bangladesh/Bengal with horrid human rights violations against minorities:
–  Bangladesh ‘persecution’ panel reports on 2001 violence
–  UNHCR report: The treatment of Buddhists in Bangladesh:
“Discrimination against members of religious minorities, such as Hindus, Christians, and Buddhists, existed at both the governmental and societal levels, and religious minorities were disadvantaged in practice in such areas as access to government jobs, political office, and justice.”
–  UNHCR report: The treatment of Hindus in Bangladesh:
“Attacks on members of religious or ethnic minorities or their properties, including thefts and vandalism at Hindu temples, continue to be a problem, although it is difficult to distinguish criminal intent from religious animosity or other possible motives.”
–  UNHCR report: Bangladesh: The Ahmadiyya Community – their rights must be protected:
“21 October 2003, an estimated 100 people including women and children belonging to 17 Ahmadi families in the village of Uttar Bhabanipur in Kushtia District were declared “excommunicated” by a local Islamist leader opposed to the Ahmadis.”

Britanistani Dhimmi asks: Are converts more likely to be extremists than other Muslims?

These people are unbelievable! Always making excuses for a medieval fascist hate ideology built on Mohammed’s warfare strategy. Sometimes you wonder if they are simply mad, or this is intentional Taqqiyya to appear moderate. Did converts kill over 300 million people over the past 14 centuries (and that doesn’t include the number of slaughters in Persia, Middle East and Asia)? Is it British converts who want people like Leon Moosavi (the name says it all!) to live under Sharia law? Is it British converts who commit 2,800 honor killings per year? Is it 2.3 million British converts who support honor murders? Is it 2,000 British converts who have been arrested for terrorist plots by the MI5 in the past eight years?
No it is not. It’s all Muslims living under Islamic ideology. So called “moderate” Muslims living in everyday society. All those Muslims we should avoid brushing under one brush.

.

Are converts more likely to be extremists than other Muslims?

Something about the convert experience may explain why a small minority, like the Woolwich attackers, find extremist messages attractive

Now that we know the two Woolwich attackers are converts to Islam, questions are being asked about whether converts are more likely to adopt extremist ideology. The vast majority of Muslim converts are law-abiding, decent citizens, but there is something about the convert experience that may explain why a small minority of converts find extremist messages attractive.

At least five years ago, influential politicians were warning that Muslim converts pose a particular threat to British security. When official counter-terrorism policy was revised two years ago, converts were given a specific mention (on page 87 of this report) as prone to being radicalised. Notorious Muslim converts have helped sustain the impression that converts are disproportionately represented in extremist circles: there is Al-Qaida’s spokesman Adam Gadahn, the shoe-bomber Richard Reid. Germaine Lindsay was one of the 7/7 suicide bombers, Nicky Reilly attempted a suicide bombing in 2009, and more recently, Richard Dart was convicted on terrorism charges.

It is important to stress that from the estimated 5,000 converts to Islam every year, almost all of them embrace Islam after being inspired by its monotheistic clarity, its moral guidance and its holistic framework. Conversion to Islam is rarely political, but it is usually connected to personal self-building and spiritual awareness. My own extensive research with converts over the last five years has brought me into contact with hundreds of converts who overwhelmingly describe themselves as “bridge builders”. It’s commonplace for converts to see themselves as having a vital role to play as ambassadors to non-Muslims on behalf of Muslims, but just as crucially, to see themselves as ambassadors to Muslims on behalf of non-Muslims.

It would therefore be plainly wrong to insinuate that most converts are likely to engage in extremism. This not only ignores the huge diversity that exists among how converts approach Islam but may also lead to an unhelpful and discriminatory profiling of converts. It is more accurate to say that those converts who subscribe to extremism may have done so because of experiences that are particular to converts.

Various research, including a recent report by Cambridge University, has shown that conversion to Islam is a testing journey. Choosing to embrace a religion which is routinely considered as backward and foreign often results in the convert being shunned by non-Muslim family and friends. Many converts expect Muslim communities will compensate by welcoming them and providing a new support network as is encouraged by Islamic teachings.

However, in reality, this welcome is not always forthcoming. Rather, converts can be ostracised by lifelong Muslims because they are still perceived by some as “outsiders”. If a convert feels rejected by both non-Muslims and Muslims, loneliness and disappointment can manifest, and the promise of membership to a closely-knit clique offered by extremist groups may become attractive.

The other consequence of not being accepted into a Muslim community may be an increased fervour to prove oneself. Muslim converts are familiar with encountering lifelong Muslims who doubt their sincerity and may even be asked to recite parts of the Qur’an to prove their authenticity. Some converts may see no better way to demonstrate how serious their commitment to Islam is than by adopting an aggressive extremism which may require them to sacrifice their liberty, and in some cases, their life.

Converts to Islam often talk about grappling with trying to distinguish between authentic Islamic teachings and Muslim cultural practices. Most converts are determined to follow the teachings of Muhammad, but would rather leave South Asian culture for South Asian people. The ideology of extremist groups is based on a literalist interpretation of Islamic sources which they claim is pure and uncontaminated, or in other words, free from cultural bias. This is of course highly contestable but for some converts, the promise of an Islam that resembles its earliest form can be especially appealing.

There is no one type of person who converts to Islam. The backgrounds of many converts are rather banal and as “normal” as the average person. However, there are some converts to Islam whose previous lifestyle involved criminality, gang culture and general hostility towards authority. These converts may seek redemption in Islam or a clean break from a troubled past. In some cases though, that past remains within their psyche, and it is in extremism that they find a familiar framework. Significantly then, not all extremist converts are radicalised by Islam, but by a previous lifestyle that lingers into their post-conversion life.

Many converts are impressively knowledgeable about Islamic teachings and debates. It is often the case that an individual spends years reading about Islam before taking the plunge of converting. Yet, there are some converts to Islam who have not had the resources, time or aptitude to appreciate the history of Islamic scholarship and the multitude of contemporary perspectives. These naive and ignorant converts may be indoctrinated by extremist preachers with their simplistic binaries and obvious solutions if they do not encounter the mainstream, traditional and much more tolerant interpretations of Islam that is subscribed to by most of the world’s 1.6 billion Muslims.

It would be shortsighted to explain the Woolwich attacks solely by reference to the potential loneliness or ignorance of the attackers, however. These are just some of the factors that may explain why a small number of converts may find extremist groups attractive. To fully understand why we are vulnerable to terrorist attacks, no matter how uncomfortable it may be, we have to recognise that our foreign policy is highly problematic. It is the west’s use of violence in Muslim countries – which often causes great harm to civilians – that ultimately provides the fuel that allows extremist groups to recruit both converts and lifelong Muslims.

Italy: Muslim vandalises sex shop while ‘shouting the glory of Islam’

29/05/2013 – 14h00

Bolzano (Novopress) – He was tired of the ‘decline of Western morals’. The young North African then put a huge stone in his backpack. In the mid-afternoon, he went to a sex shop window with “sex appeal” – as its name suggests – in Bolzano in South Tyrol. Then he stood there quietly waiting for the arrival of the police, ‘shouting the glory of Islam’. Between screams, he puffed on his cigarette.

The manager, Giovanni Lo Iacono, is still terrified, “It was 5:30 p.m. Friday afternoon, I was alone in the store when I heard a terrible bang and I saw the window explode. I initially thought a car had crashed. If the stone had hit my head, it would have killed me. “

“Outside, he adds, the street was full of people, the window could have fallen and hit someone. It is extremely heavy, made with double glazing burglar-safe glass, and it took a crane to install. “

Signor Lo Iacono is even more traumatized that he had never imagined that immigration could one day bring harm to his  business. “I have many North African friends”, he says, “they have a different culture and beliefs of our own, but they are exquisite people. I do not know what took him to do this. It made me think of this madman who walked the streets of Milan with a pick and who murdered three people. There’s nothing to be afraid. “

You would had to be fearless to trade with Signor Lo Iacono …

Creeping Sharia: French firms see rising (Islamic) religious demands at work

French firms see rising religious demands at work

By Tom Heneghan, Religion Editor  |  REUTERS

PARIS | Tue May 28, 2013 11:12am EDT

(Reuters) – Close to half the staff managers at companies in French urban areas have seen problems arising from religious demands by employees and expect them to increase in future, according to a new study issued on Tuesday.

Listing faith-related problems, the new study said some men refused to take orders from a woman boss or shake hands with women and some refused to handle alcohol or pork products.

Other problems include employees wanting to pray or wear religious garb at work. Some employees try to impose their religious standards on colleagues, such as preventing non-observant Muslims from eating at work during Ramadan.

Smaller towns and rural areas had far fewer problems, the study said. Fewer than five percent of human resources managers in the western region of Brittany reported any difficulties.

The survey, conducted by university researchers in Rennes and the international recruitment agency Randstad, was released as French lawmakers prepare new legislation extending strict public service bans on religious garb at work to some private firms.

President Francois Hollande has also launched an official campaign to ensure the legal separation of church and state is fully respected in France.

“These initial results show the issue of religion at work exists and is not a marginal question,” concluded the study, which said 43 percent of staff managers saw faith-related work problems and 41 percent expected to encounter more in future.

HEADSCARF DEBATE

Sociologists say most religious demands at work come from the large Muslim minority, with some also from orthodox Jews and evangelical Christians. These groups mostly live in or around big cities rather than the traditionally Catholic rural areas.

Many demands concern Muslim women’s headscarves, a sensitive issue in France where full-face veils are banned in public and women public servants and girls in state schools are not allowed to cover their hair.

A decision by France’s top appeals court in March to reinstate a Muslim woman fired by a private creche for wearing a headscarf revived a debate about religion at work and prompted calls for tighter laws on “laicite,” or official secularism.

Several large companies including France Telecom, IBM France, Electricite de France and retailer Casino have drawn up internal guidelines on religion at work in recent years.

France’s official secularism bars teachers, postal workers and other civil servants from wearing items such as Muslim headscarves, Jewish skullcaps or Christian crosses at work.

Many French believe this also applies to the private sector, but companies are free to set their own internal rules. Some firms adapt to employees’ requests when possible, while others apply strict bans on anything religious at work.

While politicians from both left and right have been calling for clearer guidelines, the study showed only 12 percent of human resources managers and no more than two percent of middle managers thought stricter laws would solve most problems.

William Sampson was sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia: How I survived Riyadh’s chop chop square

I was tortured and sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia. As a westerner, I was eventually released, but others are not so lucky

guardian.co.uk

In theory I should now be dead. Not from disease or an accident but because of the simple fact that my head was set to be severed from my body with a sharp sword in a public square in Riyadh, the Saudi Arabian capital.

In 2001, I was condemned to die in this brutal archaic fashion after being caught up in what became known as the “Saudi Brits” affair. Along with eight others, I was rounded up by the panicked Saudi authorities after a series of attacks on foreigners in the kingdom suddenly started to make this expat country of choice seem distinctly unsafe.

Desperate to pin a nascent anti-government insurgency on squabbling “bootlegger” foreigners (anything rather than concede that ultra-safe Saudi Arabia had an internal terrorism problem), we were to be the sacrificial lambs. Remember those bizarre, wooden “confessions”, haltingly delivered by scared looking men on national Saudi television? One of those came from me. If I looked petrified it may have been because I’d been dragged to prison, threatened, sleep-deprived and beaten so severely that I almost died from heart attacks.

In a numbed state of shock, I would have confessed to anything. As it was, I said I’d committed a series of laughably implausible “turf war” crimes that never even existed. The farce continued. I was subjected to two perfunctory, completely scripted trials at which I was told to plead guilty and beg for mercy. I was sentenced to death, tried again twice without even being in the courtroom at all, and again sentenced to death by beheading.

This, remember, is what happened just a handful of years ago in a justice system of an influential Middle Eastern country that enjoys excellent diplomatic relations with most of the world’s powerful countries, including Britain. It was only this time last year, for example, that we were rolling out the red carpet for King Abdullah’s state visit.

So, how did I come to be alive to write this for the Guardian today? Simple. Belonging to a wealthy “client” nation like the United Kingdom means that while you can be tortured and falsely imprisoned in Saudi Arabia, in practice you are not going to suffer a brutal demise in “chop chop” square in this execution-addicted country.

At the time of my ordeal there was much talk of “diplomatic efforts” to secure our release. This was mostly UK government spin – they had to put it about that they were trying hard to get us out. Yes, they will have exerted pressure on the Riyadh authorities but I later learnt that I and my fellow detainees had been released as part of a “prisoner exchange” involving five Saudis being held by the US at Guantánamo Bay.

Finally released in August 2003, after 964 days of solitary confinement, torture and dehumanising terror, I harbour no illusions about what saved me: my passport. There was no apology, no official pardon, just a perfunctory granting of “clemency” and immediate expulsion from the country. An accident of birth had preserved me and eventually my release became a political expediency.

Ironically, even the manner of my release further confirmed the politically corrupt nature of the Saudi system of justice. Foreign workers like me, subject to bogus trials and languishing in miserable jails, can only hope that the Saudi lottery of false mercy will save them. Meanwhile, of course, Saudi’s poor migrant workers from Somalia, Bangladesh, the Philippines or Pakistan are virtually doomed if they face a capital charge (not all for lethal crimes, incidentally).

Anyone who might somehow think that Saudi justice is harsh but fair should read a new Amnesty International report (pdf) which shows that the legal system is heavily rigged, with well-connected Saudi nationals up to eight times more likely to negotiate “blood money” pay-offs to victims’ families that lead to commutation.

Certainly one shouldn’t forget that ordinary Saudis without the right connections are also going to their deaths in this lethal lottery of a justice system. The latest figures show that this blood-soaked country is on average executing at least two people every single week. [*see note at the bottom of page. Each executioner in Saudi Arabia behead around 2,500 people per year]

In my experience what passes for a judicial system in Saudi Arabia has less to do with investigating crime and punishing criminals, and far more to do with maintaining control and compliance among both its own citizens and its community of ex-patriot workers.

Why should we care? Well, apart from the fact that thousands of British people go to work in this country every year and that Britain continues to maintain extremely cordial relations with the Saudi royals, this wretched system is simply an affront, not only to justice but to our common humanity.

If ever there was an advertisement for the abolition of the death penalty and for all that is wrong with its application, Saudi (in)justice provides it.

I can only ask: when are western governments going to stop pandering to the Saudi princes? Or could it be that they prefer to go on burying their heads in the sand?

Video: Saudi execution by beheading (this footage is not from Riyadh’s famous chop-chop square but from one of the many other execution locations, which they have throughout the country):

___________________________

*TMI Note:  According to Amnesty International Saudi Arabia behead 2 people per week. Human rights organizations claim that ‘only’ 76 people were executed by beheading in 2012 under Sharia law. But the real numbers are in the thousands.

Muhammad Saad al-Beshi, Saudi Arabia’s state executioner, admit to performing up to seven beheadings per day (roughly 2,500 people per year. 7×365=2,555). And there are many executioners across the Arabian peninsula who perform the same number of executions on a daily basis. Saudi Arabia performs so many executions that they have a backlog and have been recruiting for more skilled executioners.

Executions are suppose to be applied to murderers and drug-trafficking but has become common for even small offences. In addition to murder, Saudi Arabia applies the death penalty for crimes not considered “serious” under international norms.

‘These filthy unbelievers are pigs’: Woolwich terror suspect’s rant at rally

In Britain this is called free speech. Inviting Wahhabi hate-preachers to schools and Universities is defended as free speech and over 200 hate preachers were invited in 2012 alone. Meanwhile, Geert Wilders, a politician, was banned in Britain for his objection to the extremist ideology of Islam and its endless human rights violations. This ban was supported by the Ramadhan Foundation and the Muslim Council of Britain, the council labeling Wilders “an open and relentless preacher of hate”. The council has never come forth to condemn the hate speech from even one of the Muslim imams invited to lecture in the country.
Free speech quickly disappears if the English themselves criticise Islam, and people are now arrested for comments on twitter and facebook. An old pensioner was arrested for ranting outside a mosque, and you cannot question Muslim behavior and presence in the country. You are also warned or arrested if you display the red and white flag of St George. The St George’s cross is deemed offensive to Muslims as it reminds them when they lost sorely against the crusaders in their violent conquest of Europe, where people were slaughtered in unprovoked attacks. In England, whatever you do, do not obstruct or offend the Muslims. The government has a strict non-tolerance policy on that.
Yet the leadership continues to wonder in bewilderment how incidents like Woolwich could happen… How about putting an end to feeding the beast?

Woolwich terror suspect Michael Adebolajo was filmed encouraging 1,500 followers to turn against Britain in a hate-filled rant on the anniversary of 9/11.

Video footage unearthed by the Daily Mail shows the alleged killer addressing a crowd of young Muslims outside a mosque in north London.

Standing on a platform above a large crowd, Adebolajo yells: ‘Do not be scared of the filthy kuffar [non-believers]. They are pigs.’

Moments after his speech – delivered in 2009 on the eighth anniversary of the September 11 attacks on New York and Washington DC that left nearly 3,000 dead – some of the crowd hurled bricks and fireworks at the police.

Film of the extremist rant follows the revelation – the day after the slaughter of Drummer Lee Rigby last week – of photos of Adebolajo standing behind hate preacher Anjem Choudary outside Paddington Green police station six years ago.

It prompted MPs to call for an inquiry into what MI5 knew about Adebolajo and the other terror suspect Michael Adebowale.

The emergence of the video shows for the first time the prominent role Adebolajo played as an Islamic radical.

It is bound to raise further questions over whether the police and the security services should have intervened earlier.

Last night, Michael Adebowale, 22, was charged with the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby and possession of a firearm. He will appear at Westminster Magistrate’s Court today.

Adebolajo is thought to remain in a serious condition and it could be weeks before he is fit enough to be questioned.

The video of the 28-year-old Muslim convert is one of many incendiary sermons that can be found on YouTube.

During his speech outside Harrow Central Mosque in north London in 2009, Adebolajo tells the crowd not to be scared of  the police.

Wearing a white skull cap and a traditional black Islamic robe, he says: ‘You are here only to please Allah. You aren’t here for any other reason.’

The demonstration was organised in response to a nearby protest by the English Defence League and a group called Stop the Islamisation of Europe.

During the 80-second clip, Adebolajo says that the Prophet Muhammad fought against ‘way worse’ opposition.

‘They are pigs,’ he shouts. ‘Allah says they are worse than cattle. Do not be scared of them. And do not turn your back to them. Don’t be scared of them, or police, or the cameras.’

A witness at the rally said of Adebolajo’s address: ‘After the speech some of them started running around. An imam even came out at one stage and told the hotheads to calm down and get inside the mosque, saying that they should be praying.

‘I thought it was time for me to get out.’

The Stop Islamisation of Europe group had pledged that its protest would be peaceful and  eventually claimed it called off the protest following appeals  by police.

But despite the presence of nearly 500 officers, tensions spilled over when a gang of 100 Islamic radicals – their faces covered with ski masks – chased members of far-Right groups who had turned up.

It is not known whether Adebolajo was part of this group, although at one point he had urged his supporters to avoid violence and be ‘sincere to Allah’.

Police arrested ten people.

Video: Britain is full of protests like this where Muslims are permitted to promote hatred and extremism. In fact they even get police escort for it: “We are not scared of kuffar. Kafir, kafir, kafir! They are pigs. Allah said they are worse than cattle. You are here only to please Allah.”

“Most Muslims would agree with Woolwich attacker”

Radical cleric Anjem Choudary claims most Muslims would agree with Woolwich attacker

ANJEM Choudary has claimed most Muslims would agree with what the man believed to be the Woolwich attacker was filmed saying moments after the death of Lee Rigby.

On Newsnight tonight, Choudary said while the brutal attack on a serving soldier was shocking what the man covered in blood said about foreign policy explained what he did.

Choudary, who set up Islam4UK which was condemned in the Terrorism Act 2000, refused to say he abhorred and was horrified by the attack.

Drummer Rigby, a married father of a two-year-old boy, died after being brutally attacked in broad daylight by two men in South East London yesterday.

He said: “What he said in the clip which is being televised, not many muslims can disagree with it.”

Presenter Kirsty Wark strongly disagreed with the statement, along with his fellow panelists from the Muslim community.

Shams Ad-Duha Muhammad, a director at Ebrahim College, said the vast majority of Muslims would strongly disagree with Choudary.

He said: “Why is not possible for us as Muslims that we cannot condemn what happened here and air our views regarding foreign policy?”

While Julie Siddiqi, Executive Director at the Islamic Society of Britain, said there was ‘absolute condemnation’ from every Muslim organisation.

She said: “I want to give my condolences to Lee Rigby’s family.

“There is no justification for what we saw yesterday.”

The man seen in the video had met Choudary before, and attended one of his demonstrations for anti-Western al-Muhajiroun organisation.

The clip, obtained by ITV News, shows a bloodied man wielding a bloodied meat cleaver in the street and shouting as stunned eye-witnesses looked on.

He says: “I apologise that women had to witness this today, but in our lands our women have to see the same.

“You people will never be safe, remove your governments they don’t care about you.”

Jonathan Manthorpe: Saudi Arabia funding fuels jihadist terror

Big chunks of the country’s huge oil earnings have been spent on spreading a violent and intolerant variety of Islam

Where Wahhabi teachings venture, violence soon follows. This anonymous group in the Caucasus area of southern Russia vowed on YouTube to fight back against armed Wahhabi-inspired Caucasus militants. The ultimate responsibility for recent atrocities like the Boston Marathon bombing and the butchering last week of an off-duty British soldier is very clear.
It belongs to Saudi Arabia.
Over more than two decades, Saudi Arabia has lavished around $100 billion or more on the worldwide promotion of the violent, intolerant and crudely puritanical Wahhabist sect of Islam that the ruling royal family espouses.

The links of the Boston bombers and the London butchers to organizations following the Saudi royal family’s religious line are clear.

One of the two London butchers, Nigerian-born Michael Adebolajo, was radicalized by the cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri, who headed the outlawed terrorist group Al-Muhajiroun.

The group follows Wahhabist teachings and advocates unifying all Muslims, forcibly if necessary, under a single fundamentalist theocratic government.

Similarly, the Boston bombers, Tamerlan and Dzokhar Tsarnaev, hailed from Russia’s southern predominantly Muslim province of Chechnya. Starting in the late 1980s, Saudi Arabia began dispatching Wahhabist clerics and radical preachers to Chechnya.

The spread of Wahhabism sparked not only a separatist war against the Russians, but also a good deal of violence among Muslims.

Wahhabism is now institutionalized in Chechnya and is particularly attractive to young men.

There are similar strands leading back to Wahhabist indoctrination in the histories of very many of the known Muslim terrorists of the last 20 years.

The founder of the sect, Muhammad ibn abd al-Wahhab, was an eighteenth century Muslim zealot allied to the Al-Saud clan who promoted an extreme version of Salafism.

Salaf is the Arab word meaning pious ancestor and refers to those who attempt to emulate the pure Islamic life of the Prophet Muhammad and his generation of followers.

But Wahhab and his modern disciples take this notion to extremes. The list of people whom Wahhabists should consider their enemies includes not only Christians, Jews, Hindus and atheists, but also Shiite, Sufi and Sunni Muslims.

And yet no western politicians seem prepared to accept the obvious.

The chances of disaffected young men being drawn into the evil web of Wahhabist murderous extremism would be significantly decreased if the Saudi funding was blocked.

The Saudis began exporting Wahhabism in the early 1970s when the country’s oil wealth began growing at an ever-increasing rate.

The amount the Saudi royal family, both by government donations and the generosity of individual princes, now lavishes on Wahhabist schools, colleges, mosques, Islamic centres and the missionary work of fundamentalist imams around the world is extraordinary.

In 2003, a United States Senate committee on terrorism heard testimony that in the previous 20 years Saudi Arabia had spent $87 billion on promoting Wahhabism worldwide.

This included financing 210 Islamic centres, 1,500 mosques, 202 colleges and 2,000 madrassas (religious schools).

Various estimates put the amount the Saudi government spends on these missionary institutions as up to $3 billion a year.

This money smothers the voices of moderate Muslims and the poison flows into every Muslim community worldwide.

Key figures in the September 2001 attacks on the United States were radicalized at mosques in Germany.

Britain is now reckoned by some to be the worst breeding ground anywhere for violent Muslim fundamentalists

Indian newspapers recently reported Saudi Arabia has a massive $35 billion program to build mosques and religious schools across South Asia, where there are major Muslim communities in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the divided territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Indian police and Central Intelligence officers were quoted as saying their information came from American intelligence agencies.

There are unconfirmed reports that Saudi Arabia and members of the royal family have donated millions of dollars to fund mosques and Islamic centres in Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary and Quebec.

The money, and the emphasis on Wahhabist teaching that comes with it, has caused sharp divisions among Canadian Muslims.

Over the years, there have been repeated complaints to Saudi Arabia about its funding of radical indoctrination. But while there has been some toning down of the most inflammatory language in the Wahhabist texts the Saudi’s disperse, the overall message of the propaganda program has changed little.

Where the Saudi government has retreated under pressure from Washington is in the direct funding of terrorist organizations.

It is widely believed by western intelligence agencies that in the 1980s and 90s, the Saudi government had a deal with Wahhabist terrorist groups like al-Qaida that their fundraising would not be hindered so long as they only operated in foreign countries.

However, after the terrorist attack on a residential compound for foreigners in Riyadh in May, 2003, the Saudi government began a crackdown on terrorism.

But even though the Saudi government ended official support for groups like al-Qaida, the Taliban and the Pakistani militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba, private donations from Saudi Arabia still find their way to these and similar groups.

But when all is said and done, curbing direct payments to terrorist groups is a small matter when so many billions of dollars continue to be directed at creating terrorists.

Saudi writer urge his Twitter followers to sexually molest women hired to work as cashiers in grocery stores

Abu Dhabi: A Saudi writer has urged his Twitter followers to sexually molest women hired to work as cashiers in big grocery stores, the latest backlash from conservatives who want to roll back limited social and economic reforms launched in Saudi Arabia.

Abdullah Mohammad Al Dawood, who writes self-help books including one called The Joy of Talking, has stirred fierce debate this week via the internet microblogging service with the use of the hashtag harass_female_cashiers, to press for Saudi women to be forced to stay at home to protect their chastity.

His campaign against official moves to encourage women to work in mixed gender environments has led some Twitter users to denounce him. Others however applauded him as a fighter against government efforts to westernise and corrupt the country.

More than half a million Saudi Arabian nationals, including unprecedented if still modest numbers of women, have surged into the country’s private sector since late 2011 under a government-driven programme aimed at turning the Gulf giant’s sclerotic non-oil economy into a regional powerhouse.

Khalid Ebrahim Al Saqabi, a conservative cleric, endorsed Al Dawood’s calls and said a law proposed by the government against sexual harassment in newly mixed workplaces was “only meant to encourage consensual debauchery”.

He added: “Why is the labour minister concerned with finding jobs for women instead of men?”

Al Dawood, who has more than 97,000 followers on Twitter, justified his call to harass female workers by using an obscure story from the early days of Islam about a famous warrior, Al Zubair, who did not want his wife to leave home to pray in the mosque. Al Dawood claimed that Al Zubair hid in the dark one night and molested his wife in the street. The wife rushed home and decided against ever going out of her house again, saying that the “there is no safer place than home and the world out there is corrupt”.

Scores of Al Dawood’s followers supported his campaign and condemned the planned anti-harassment law, which comes as employers respond to government financial incentives to hire more Saudi workers, and in particular more women. One user wrote: “It is a man-made law and it can’t be accepted in a kingdom ruled by God’s law. They had better ban mingling of the sexes, not protect it.”

But Al Dawood’s hashtag drew condemnation from others, who said the writer was a disgrace to Islam. One, Waleed Al Khawaji, asked: “What kind of person urges the youth to commit debauchery?”

Another urged Al Dawood to follow his own example and harass his own wife and sisters.

Norwegian Newspaper Dagbladet Sparks Outrage with ‘Blood Libel’ Cartoon

This is a pick at Muslims and Jews alike. Faith for torture. Notice how the M word is never mentioned….

Translated: Woman: Abuse? No this is tradition! It’s an important part of our faith!
Police: Faith? Oh well, then it’s all right! I apologize for the interruption.

Norwegian newspaper, Dagbladet, has sparked outrage after publishing a cartoon “blood libel” Tuesday.

Norway’s third largest newspaper, published the cartoon, in which a modestly dressed woman can be seen holding a blood soaked book and telling law enforcement officers on the scene: “Mistreating? No this is tradition, an important part of our belief”!

A bearded man wearing a hat and black coat on the left holding another book, has stabbed the child in the head with the Devil’s pitchfork while another hand is cutting off the toes of the child with a wire cutter.

The officers who are present, are apparently permitting the ritual to continue. The first officer responds: “Belief? Oh yes, then it is all right,” while the second apologizes for the interruption.

Rabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a leading Jewish Human Rights NGO,  who is currently attending the Global Forum on Antisemitism in Jerusalem, denounced the “blood libel cartoon” as “so virulently anti-Semitic it would make Hitler and Himmler weep tears of joy.”

“We call upon Norway’s leaders to denounce this incitement to hate and especially urge the Ombudsman for Children’s Rights to denounce this outrageous denigration of a core Jewish rite dating back to the biblical times of Abraham,” Cooper added.

According to the JTA, “Dagbladet cartoon artist Tomas Drefvelin said he did not mean to draw Jews in his caricature, which he meant ‘not as criticism of either a specific religion or a nation [but] as a general criticism of religions.’”

“I gave the people in the picture hats, and the man beard, because this gives them a more religious character … Jew-hatred is reprehensible. I would never draw to create hatred of a people, or against individuals,” he added.

The Algemeiner was unable to reach the paper by phone for immediate comment.
